Fruit Custard Recipe | Classic Fruit Custard is a simple and easy to make summer dessert! The best way to enjoy a lot of fruit in one go! It is an absolutely delicious dessert and has to be one of my go-to desserts to make even today!

Fruit Custard Recipe | Classic Fruit Custard was a dessert that I can relate to the most as I’ve been enjoying this since I was a kid. Whenever my Mom had extra fruits lying around, she would make a batch of some creamy and luscious custard and add whatever fruits we had in the fruit bowl! So many textures, so many flavors, and such vibrant colors!!

Fruit Custard Recipe | Classic Fruit Custard tastes the best when served chilled. You can also serve it with Jell-O or popularly known as jelly. I love having any cake with some warm custard too! It tastes absolutely heavenly! Try my Lemon & Blueberry Pound Cake with some custard and you’ll love how good that tastes!

Although I have added many exotic fruits here just because I had them, you can add just bananas and some apple or some pineapples. Anything you prefer!! I prefer Brown and Polson Custard powder. No other variant has ever matched its creamy and deep vanilla flavor. You can make a vegan version too using plant-based milk of your choice.

Let us make the world’s Best Fruit Custard Recipe | Classic Fruit Custard!

Chop the fruits and refrigerate them until further use.

In a heavy bottom pan, heat milk until it simmers. Remove 1/3 rd cup of the warm milk and set it aside.

Add sugar to the remaining milk and continue to boil it.

Add custard powder to the 1/3 cup of warm milk and mix until there are no lumps.

Add this custard powder mixture to the boiling milk. Mix well and continuously. The milk can stick at the base of the pan so keep stirring until the milk thickens and turns creamy.

Turn off the flame once the milk thickens and looks shiny. Cool the custard at room temperature, then refrigerate it until chilled.

Mix the chopped fruits to the chilled custard and serve in individual bowls. You can even add tutti frutti and some chopped nuts to the custard while serving.
